At B & G Breeders, we prioritize the health, happiness, and well-being of every puppy. We ensure each puppy is carefully raised, receives regular veterinary care, and is thoroughly checked before joining their new family. We are committed to providing puppies that are healthy, well-adjusted, and ready to thrive in their new homes.
1. General Health Guarantee (First 30 Days)
We provide a 7-day general health guarantee from the date your puppy arrives home. We recommend that you take your puppy to a licensed veterinarian within this time frame to confirm their health and overall well-being. Should any health concerns arise within these first 7 days, please contact us immediately. If the condition is found to be pre-existing, we will discuss options, including possible veterinary care support.
2. Genetic Health Guarantee (Up to 1 Year)
To provide long-term security, we offer a 1-year genetic health guarantee against any serious, life-altering genetic conditions. This includes hereditary issues commonly screened for in Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs. If a certified veterinarian diagnoses your puppy with a genetic condition covered under this guarantee, we will work with you to explore available options, such as support for medical care or the possibility of a replacement puppy.
We take significant steps to ensure the health and longevity of our puppies:
-Veterinary Care: Each puppy receives thorough health exams, vaccinations, and deworming treatments by a licensed veterinarian.
-Health Records: We provide you with a full record of your puppy’s vaccinations, deworming schedule, and any medical treatments received before adoption.
-Genetic Testing: Our breeding dogs are screened for genetic health conditions to reduce the risk of hereditary issues in our puppies.
Your Role in Your Puppy’s Health
Once your puppy is home, their health and happiness depend on your care and commitment. We ask that you:
-Schedule a wellness check within the first 7 days of bringing your puppy home.
-Follow the recommended vaccination and deworming schedule.
- Maintain a balanced diet and safe environment for your puppy.
-Provide regular vet check-ups to ensure ongoing health.
Guarantee Limitations
Our health guarantee does not cover the following:
-Conditions resulting from neglect, injury, or lack of proper veterinary care.
-Non-life-threatening or minor conditions, such as mild infections or parasites (e.g., fleas or ticks).
-Illnesses caused by exposure to other animals after adoption, such as kennel cough or parvovirus.
